client logo - BT

BT (British Telecom)

BT, the world’s oldest telecommunications company and now the world's leading Networked IT Services business, commissioned a WizKit for its global sales force to ensure a consistent brand image throughout sales presentations. The WizKit for PowerPoint provides the sales force with an easy and efficient way to create presentations that includes the latest BT brand elements and product offerings. In addition, it seamlessly combines standard PowerPoint slides with custom-built multimedia elements, to create an even more dynamic presentation package.

The menu contains the basic elements - templates, charts, diagrams, image libraries, guidelines, etc, plus a wide range of presentations, covering all aspects of BT’s product offerings and services - in all, over 10,500 slides and dozens of service videos and product animations. It is produced in 5 languages, and automatically updates itself from anywhere in the world, using the WizKit Online Updater via a dedicated web server.

The WizKit’s implementation by the Global Services division was such a success that within its first month, both of the other two major divisions, “Major Business” and “Retail”, adopted it. Further more, the BT team who commissioned the WizKit won the Andy Green’s - CEO BT Award for Excellence for the best marketing innovation.

Client logo - Orange

Orange was launched in 1994 and has been at the forefront of innovation in the mobile world ever since, becoming the UK's leading operator as well as a leading international force, operating in 18 countries with 50 million customers worldwide.

As part of Orange’s ongoing commitment to presenting a clear brand image and a more personalised approach to their presentations, Orange commissioned ‘in’ to develop a WizKit presentation system that reflected Orange’s print communications for worldwide implementation across the organisation.

The first part of the job entailed simplifying the complex brand guidelines by adapting the brand identity for use in PowerPoint. The templates and sample materials created applied the brand elements in a simple and intuitive manner, thus allowing the end user to easily create PowerPoint presentations that reflected the distinctive typographic styles of Orange’s print literature without having to read or refer to brand identity guidelines.

Shell is a global energy and petrochemical company, who operates in 90+ countries with 101,000 direct employees and several hundred thousand more indirect employees. It was ranked No. 1 by Fortune 500 in 2009.

During a recent brand refresh that also coincided with a move to a newer version of Microsoft Office. Shell wanted to better support their users and brand, whilst at the same time minimise the amount of work required to convert existing documents to the new brand and the new format (.pptx). To meet these aims they commissioned in to build them a WizKit complete with a suite of custom-built tools allowing the user to quickly and correctly apply the brand and a fully automatic Brand-Checker and and a fully automatic Update Existing Presentation tool.

British Airways

British Airways commissioned “in” to build it a WizKit designed for use as a cross-selling sales tool for British Airways and eleven of its partner airlines (e.g. American Airlines, Qantas, Iberia, etc.).
It is designed to drive up sales by putting both the BA and its eleven partner airlines' sales presentations into one system (WizKit). All of these are instantly accessible from within PowerPoint, to any of their combined worldwide sales force, allowing their combined sales force to not only sell their own airlines products, but also cross-sell any related products offered by a partner airline.

It was launched worldwide and widely praised as a tool that genuinely helped the business.

When Price Waterhouse and Coopers and Lybrand merged, they created PricewaterhouseCoopers - a global organisation of 130,000 people with offices in 157 countries. Drawing together this huge number of people and paving the way for a common direction for the new professional services firm required a vehicle - an aspiring and cohesive brand. A task force, called the ‘brand team’ was set up within PwC to manage the development of the brand and ensure it was correctly portrayed across the whole organisation.

This task force identified potential ‘weak-spots’ and agreed that they needed some ‘fail-safe’ solutions to help manage the brand identity in those areas. Presentations became a high priority area, as everyday people from all over the world were putting together their own presentations.

This meant every day people were wasting time reinventing the wheel and at the same time diluting the strength of the brand identity. The ‘Wizkit’ created for PricewaterhouseCoopers enabled every employee to create a PowerPoint presentation complete with the company logotype, symbol, colours, fonts, imagery, charts and credentials - all within minutes. What’s more, it was available in a variety of sizes - to ensure every possible need was met.

Since its inception, their WizKit has been updated a number of times to reflect the evolving PwC brand.

The ‘brand team’ said, 'This has been our most successful and well received internal project’. They were also commended by the Board for creating a tool that truly made peoples' working lives easier and gave a consistent application of the brand.

Allianz Global Investors is one of the world's top five asset management groups, with about one trillion Euros of assets under management and with access to more than 60 million clients around the globe, who employ a staff of 4,250, and with 900 investment professionals among them.

The AllianzGI Brand team based in Munich commissioned “in” to build a WizKit for PowerPoint. Presentations were an important area, as every day people from all over the world were putting together presentations. This meant every day people were wasting time reinventing the wheel and at the same time diluting the strength of the brand identity.

Telstra are Australia's leading telecommunications and information services company, with one of the best known brands in the country. They offer a full range of services and compete in all telecommunications markets throughout Australia, providing more than 8.8 million Australian fixed line and 10.3 million mobile services, including 7.2 million 3G services.

To give a consistent brand image within their client and pitch presentations they commissioned 'in' to build them a WizKit. It comes complete with a suite of custom-built tools allowing the user to quickly and correctly apply the Telstra brand and a fully automatic Brand-Checker which allows the user with a single click to check if their document is on-brand and, if not, to correct it. Telstra then added in all of their product and service presentations. The WizKit is held in a SharePoint library allowing the users to easily access it, and allowing the project directors to easily update and monitor the quality of the companies presentations.

Comverse is the world’s leading provider of software systems that enable multimedia network based enhanced services. There are more than 450 communication service providers in more than 125 countries which use Comverse call completion, messaging content and billing solutions to increase revenue, strengthen customer loyalty and increase operational efficiency.

Having seen the changes brought about in BT and BT’s glowing review of their new WizKit presentation system, the Comverse brand team, based in Israel, then commissioned ‘in’ to build Comverse a new presentation system for all of its people worldwide. It is complete with easy online installers (works on locked systems), menus, templates, sample libraries, guidelines, brand tools, auto updaters for content and more.

Royal Mail & Post Office

The Royal Mail Group consists of the UK’s main postal operations – Royal Mail, Post Office and Parcelforce Worldwide. They decided it was time to modernise their brand and its communications in order for them to retain their existing business and to attract new customers.

The RMG recognised the need to differentiate themselves from their competitors by leveraging their communications to reflect the quality of their services and the changing world in which their business customers live, unlike their competitors who focus on price only.

A major part of bringing their brand to life was the updating of their presentations system. ‘in’ built a new system which covers their 105,000 people who are spread across the world as well as the various sub brands.

Interbrand is the world’s largest branding agency and has been responsible for creating some of the world’s best-known brands. Interbrand recognized that massive amounts of time were being wasted when it came to sourcing information and building and re-building presentations over and over again. They were also neglecting to nurture their own brand identity. It was then decided it was time to focus on their own communications and they awarded priority status to presentations and proposals.

A WizKit was developed containing all the relevant company information and templates for a variety of uses built to reflect and enhance the brand. The WizKit was developed for both Microsoft Word and PowerPoint and designed to run on Apple Macintosh and Windows alike. By programming the WizKit to automatically update the user files every two weeks, the marketing departments were easily able to update the master set of corporate communications such as company credentials, case studies, image libraries, chart and map libraries.
